This good man here had made the news,
For one of the best results the country has seen,
I knew this Albert was my great cue,
His report I highlighted in my old blog screen.
He found me and soon we were connected,
He was willing to share and opened his doors,
He gave me the awareness that the public lacked,
His strength, his will, they were not poor.
Soon we embarked on a new project here,
And he was so active we just went "Wow!"
When it comes to speaking up there was no fear,
He garners cheers from the big whole crowd.
We all then met up and had a wonderful time,
We admired his strength and his independence,
He knows he can contribute much in his prime,
For that he works hard, and he never said die.
He has a good friend who visits him always,
I bless his name for his caring touch,
Never complaining, kind in what he says,
Jaspreet, you are a true friend many can appreciate.
This friendship is not an ordinary one,
The bond that you have isn't because you're friends,
The love and passion for one another made you won,
This friendship is eternal; never breaks, never ends.

Silent figures in the night This post is dedicated to thieves around the world. May you be forever cursed by a thousand misfortunes for every item that isn't yours.
Walk in shadows, out of sight;
You can't see us but we're there,
Watching you from everywhere.
We crawl on ceilings and on walls
While always seeking empty halls,
Seeking, tracking, looking out;
Treasure's always somewhere about.
We'll always find a trace or two
And get to doing what we always do:
Taking time to find your place
To profit from your graceless haste.
And voila! here is your door,
Behind which lies what we're looking for;
A trinket, perhaps? Something new!
Of some things one can't have too few.
A lock in place? Oh dear, oh dear.
But from it we have naught to fear:
A swish, a crick, a gentle tug,
Oh this lock's less trouble than a small bug!
The gateway yields, oh what a shame!
There is no lock that'll keep us lame-
So, in we come while you're away;
The 'mice' are here to sing and play!
Wallets, watches, coins and bills,
Dollars, cents - oh, the thrill!
Laptops, iPods, books and mags,
Even your own stash of fags!
When you get back, you'll feel bereft
'Cos everything's gone and nothing's left;
We cleaned up well without a broom:
It's just as if we owned your room!
You'll never find us how much you try
Not even when you break down and cry;
We have no soul nor sympathy,
Only greed and lust and apathy.
Silent figures in the night
Walk in shadows, out of sight;
Our itchy hands will take away
Your favorite stuff and ruin your day!

Is this all too hard to comprehend?
The spirit is willing,
But the flesh is weak,
The heart is moving,
But the eyes fail to seek.
This genesis of rebirth,
Can it really happen?
Even if so, may I ask,
Will it grow like fern?
Every end is a beginning,
Of something new and exciting,
Stand yourself up now!
Together we march with the crowd.
Nobody gets left behind!
Everybody is well sheltered,
Utopian as it may seemed to be,
It is of everyone's concern.
Those who suffered and pined,
Move on! Climb to new grounds!
All of us were once like that before,
Where is your fire? Have it found!
Those whose lives are truly blessed,
Guide the suffering ones,
Relieve them of their pain and worries,
Help them stand, walk and run.
Open your eyes, people,
Just open your eyes!
Be extremely wary of crocodiles,
And above all, of lice!
Conform if you must,
Conform if you want to,
But practise your own virtues,
You needn't follow everyone, too.
A revolution of ideas is circulating,
Clashes and conflicts are at every corner,
Learn to think both ways, both sides,
Justified, and we shall give you honour.
I bring here an important message,
Strike a clear balance of things,
Wipe out hypocrisy and deception,
Be happy, be contented human beings.

They say love gives us wings,
Much like a Dove's,
They are wrong.
Love is not a Dove's wings,
We all have wings,
For we are all destined,
To soar.
Love is the wind beneath those wings,
That carry us to heights magnificent,
If only we beat those wings as tirelessly,
As our hearts beat for one another.
They say love makes us strong,
For all strong men know love,
They are wrong.
Love is not the strength of body,
Or mind and soul,
For we are all strong.
Love is the gift to arise once more,
To arouse and feel with certainty,
The strength within us all,
And know it to be true.
They say love is not a destination,
But a journey,
They are wrong.
Love is not a journey,
For all journeys come to an end,
True love never ends.
Love is the vessel that bears us,
Along that journey,
That carries us to places,
Wonderful and Beautiful.
Love is all these things,
And more,
And now my love i say to you,
I Love You.

;;The Sword's song is a sad song,
He pipes it soft and low,
"I would ply a gentler trade,
But War is all i know,
And though my blade be cold and jagged,
And unloved by many,
I would ply this trade of mine,
'Till doom or death take me".
And so the Sword would sing his song,
The song thats soft and low,
"I would ply a gentler trade,
But War i all i know..."

;;Who decided your future? You? Or did you take up something that satisfied your parents' wishes?
Be careful of whom you aim to please with your actions. As Eries said,
In the end, I do not know if I’m happy because I truly am or I am trying to make people happy. Is making people happy, making oneself happy?
As much as your parents want you to succeed, make sure you yourself have an interest in what you will be studying. You do not follow a future others dictate - not even your parents - simply because they prefer you take it.
Take the time to go in-depth into what you plan to do later on in life. Study places to further your studies in your chosen field, find out what your course will be about, look up possible career opportunities. The Star newspaper offers occasional supplements about institutes of higher education in and out of the country.
Most importantly, don't go about making uninformed decisions, i.e. choose to be a singer merely because you want to be rich and famous like all of them on TV. If you can convince your parents that you truly have a passion for it, that you know your stuff and the possible risks, they will be more than happy to let you go for it.

;;Labels: Career, Dilemma, Education, Issues, Maverick's, Parents, Photography, Poetry, Random, Youth
I’ve always strived to be independent in making decisions involving my own life. Time and again I try my very best to give reasoning in my very own perspective of things; but, caught up in the middle of all that confusion, I always find myself being affected by people and their opinions and wants. In being individualistic, at the same time, I take importance in trying to listen to other's perspectives to make them happy. In the end, I do not know if I’m happy because I truly am or I am trying to make people happy. Is making people happy, making oneself happy?
You might have gotten yourself confused in the past sentence but I do not blame you for the confusion in your mind. It is as confusing as it sounds.
Just a few days back, I was questioned regarding decisions I made in life. I do not know the person’s perspective of questioning me in such a manner; but to me, every single action I did was questioned and I felt like I had to doubt my very own decisions to place them in comparison to the expectations of others. Friends exist to advise, no doubt. However, I think that there reaches a point that we should not impose our opinions unto others, no matter how strong our stance is; especially the matter does not involve health or money related issues like taking drugs or borrowing money from loan sharks. (That kind of imposing is understandable.)
Sometimes, people around us think that we can do better. They tell us, “This will look good for you,” or, “that looks superb on you.” Sometimes you very reluctantly say, “Yes” because you care about the opinions of others more than yours… I know at this very point, people think that I am weak in my opinion and that I am unable to assert my perspective of things. I do not think so. Fact is, I do so in so many things.
Humans cling to others, so attached and unable to accept reclusion. We want to be part of something so bad that we are willing to bend some personal rules and personal opinions though they hurt so badly. I know it is inevitable, you know so too though on the outer you may stand up for individuality and asserting personal opinions. Now what I have in question: Where is the cut of point? How will you put your foot down after so long of playing along?
Now, comes the part you say, “Stay true to yourself from the beginning.”
Then here comes the part whereby I say, “Problems evolve, they don’t just happen.”
I’m sure that everyone is questioning about the dilemma I am in. It is not a dilemma per se. I am merely disgruntled in certain aspects of thoughts and decisions and opinions of people around me. I have my limits though my threshold is very high. I am hard headed, but sometimes people should watch their words. I am very open minded, but sometimes people just don’t talk about certain stuff; and when they don’t, don’t push it. Again, I am open minded about fitting in; but sometimes I want to be me.
This might not be the best article to kick-start my writings here; but listening to perspectives on things is something I like to do. Solutions may be hung on a string just before our eyes, but the human eye is blinded by so much ignorance, oblivion and plain stress.
Lastly, here's an old poem of mine. To tell you the truth, it was written for my ex-boyfriend. I think you'll be able to figure it out. But this article has nothing to do with him lar. The poem just fits.
His parody
A parody,
One about life,
She took it, and pasted it,
to humour and laugh.
When it ended,
The audience cheered.
If they only knew the tears,
to all that was told.
The stage bright and lively,
shone in pride and glory,
to what seemed a story,
about a man who never knew,
the word happy.
Never did anyone know,
or think,
how it'd feel being him,
something that real.

;;Here's a "toast" to our first administrator, Maverick aka Jared. This here lean man named Jared, This blessed man here,
My best pal of all times since I remembered,
The day he cracked jokes,
Made me often, in glee, choked.
Has often lent me his ears to hear,
My whims, my problems, my troubles,
Really, my brother, you are indeed able.
Such close classmates we were,
It was a pity I didn't get to know you earlier,
Nevertheless, it is never too late,
I'm glad our efforts have paid.
I thank God for you, Jared,
A wonderful friend to many,
I enjoyed everything funny and absurd,
It was worth every penny.
Though sometimes I forgot about you,
You kept me in mind, unwavered,
Always there for me, too,
For that you shall always be revered.
This guy here has an ability,
Girls, whatever race, simply dear him,
Countless friends is his speciality,
I marvel, he rarely has whims.
Intelligence, ah! Need I say more?
It is like a mining field full of ore,
From anything social to academic,
Or just simply general knowledge to politics.
A happy person you shall always see,
This man Maverick is always in glee,
A cheerful grin on his face,
He can make you laugh till yours sides ache.
His sense of humour amazes me,
Listen to his jokes and you will see,
How he can put yours to shame,
Me against him? No, don't even put my name.
Jared, here's my tribute to you,
Such a kind soul that you are, too,
A friend indeed you are true,
I pray that it will never rue.
While others have forgotten me,
You came and picked me up,
You laid down all for me to see,
And after I realised, we would go sup.
Forgive me if you were neglected,
Nothing could be more sinful than that,
From me so little you expected,
I salute you with my lowered hat.
Words alone cannot portray,
Indeed how gratified and blessed I am,
To have a friend whom I shall say,
"Thank you God! Bless his name!"
Pardon me for my poor usage of words this time. I intended to be more prolific and poetic, but this is the best that I can produce at the spur of the time. My mind is currently occupied with certain issues, and I've decided to make quite a drastic transition of my life again.
I won't like it, but I must make some changes and test the condition to see if my judgements are right. From this time onwards, I shall make judgements for myself.

;;What of Gods I ask you,
Those omnipresent beings,
Without a face to talk to,
Who try to control our whims.
What Law i ask you,
That book of rules long broken,
Nobody seems to follow them,
Unless it was you who broke them.
What of Life i ask you,
That question still unanswered,
That story ever-ending,
With that line "forever after".
What of Friends i ask you,
Those brethren you'd call your own,
And those daggers that they wield,
Like Brutus of Caesar's Rome.
What of Me i ask you,
This slightly crazy bloke,
With nothing better to do,
Than being the fire's stoke.

;;A 'jiwang' poem about success, failure, and stuff... =)
Hope breeds desire,
Desire spawns madness,
Madness collapses into disaster,
They say that failure is what strengthens the foundations of success,
Then why is it so many have ended up building monuments of failure?
We work in the salt pits,
Only to never taste salt,
We labor to succeed,
Never succeeding.
Hope breeds desire,
Desire spawns madness,
Madness collapses into disaster,
Will we ever learn ... ?

;;Many thanks Joe for the dedication. Well written, but if you wanted to attempt poetry in pentameter form, you could try harder. Hehe... nevertheless, a very nice one.
Personally, I was also surprised to see that we actually achieved the 100-post-per-month mark. Kudos to those who have made this blog such a success in achieving what we thought was the impossible. Still, I quite resent the fact that though we have very dedicated bloggers (especially like Comrade Cripple), we still lack readers and hits.
So, in reply to Joe's The One with The Endless Grins, here's one from me specially to him (and Hann):
This brother Joe I knew last year,
Whom at first I was not near,
Little did I know what was to come,
My being "irritating" was the harm.
Freshies Talent Nite marked the night,
I felt happy, important and bright,
Joe and Hann were also well-dressed,
It was our night; we must be at our best.
Joe and Hann were the emcees,
And I, of course, the sole pianist,
Joe wondered if I had the abilities,
The answer came, "He could have his qualities."
After that we soon discovered,
A band competition that we participated,
Joe on the bass and Hann on the drum,
And I on the piano, in the glum.
Joe, Hann and I a queer combination,
I tried my best to suit the situation,
Both of them have the chemistry!
A classical me, so lowly.
Besides the bass that Joe was gifted,
With the guitar and drums he, too, is talented,
His voice, my gosh, puts me to shame,
Sometimes I wish I was the same.
Things got better as time went by,
If there were no conflicts I'm telling a lie,
Still, I treasure those moments I spent,
With them, there were lots to rant.
Euphonious came and we put on a show,
At those moments we were not cold,
Sad to say we were not victorious,
Still we returned with lots of experience.
Joe and I got to know each other well,
And I found him to be such a swell,
His figure fit and his brain quick,
A cheerful grin you can always pick.
I was a little down and I decided to go,
To Johor Bahru that was where I would show,
Too visit Joe, Hann and the rest,
Though JB was not on its best.
He welcomed my presence and I was graced,
A wide grin again on his face,
He challenged me to try something new,
To spike a fin I had to do.
A brother in Christ is Joe,
When I'm sad he would console,
I might have stepped often on his tail,
But thankfully, I'm still here to tell the tale.
He's naturally gifted in kinaesthetics,
An endless energy, he is terrific!
We used to jog and I might go no further,
But he... he must go a while more longer.
Though at sports he's one of the best,
Car rides surprisingly put him to rest,
This man here he makes me impressed,
There's more to say, don't be depressed.
A "banana" he certainly is not!
His qualifications in Mandarin make me feel short,
He cannot comprehend why is that so,
My Mandarin isn't as good as yours, you know, Joe.
Jared, Joe, Brian and I,
We would keep each other an eye,
When one is in problem we are concerned,
Just to let him know we will listen.
There's more to say about this brother,
But if I keep you, you'll go "Oh, bother!"
Our brotherhood, I pray, will remain strong,
Forget me not, I here end my song.
A RANDT here which I've mentioned in the RANDTS group: Wouldn't it be nice if we could ever meet up in a place together? What do you say to a RANDSTers gathering?
P/S: Don't be disappointed if I've not written a poem about you. Give me time to know you more, through your blog or by chatting, and one day, I'll feature you, too! (Chuckles).

A long time ago,
Way back in history,
When all there was to drink,
Was nothing but cups o' Tea,
Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mops,
And he invented this wonderful drink,
And made it outta Hops.
He must've been an admiral,
A Sultan,
Or a King,
And to his praises,
We shall always sing,
Look what he has done for us,
He's filled us up with cheer,
The Lord bless Charlie Mops,
The man who invented;
Beer, beer, beer - tiddly- Beer, beer, beer - tiddly- Beer, beer, beer - tiddly-beer...
A barrel o' Malt,
A bushel o' Hops,
You stir it around with a stick!
The kind o' Lubrication,
To make yer' engines tick,
So all ye Lads n' Lasses,
at Eleven O'clock ye stop!
And for five short seconds,
Remember Charlie Mops!
One .. Two .. Three .. Four .. Five ... HEY!
He must've been an admiral,
A Sultan,
Or a King,
And to his praises,
We shall always sing,
Look what he has done for us,
He's filled us up with cheer,
The Lord bless Charlie Mops,
The Lord bless Charlie Mops,
The Lord bless Charlie Mops,
The man who invented;
Beer, beer, beer - tiddly- Beer, beer, beer - tiddly- Beer, beer, beer - tiddly-beer...

;;*Sigh* ... And I never thought I'd be here long enough to write this post. *grins*
Hi everyone! *waves* Perhaps I haven't been really active lately on the blog. Internet connection sucks, but then that's still not a valid reason. I feel ashamed in comparison to Comrade Cripple there. Wish I had half of his dedication and his ideas.
It's been a month already, so many things have happened. I have gone through quite a lot on this blog in such a short timespan. For the sake of being determined to see through the success of our new project... R.A.N.D.T.S., I ought to fulfill my duties here. *grins again*
Let's just say that I'm not a really experienced blogger. So I'm still learning from all of you. Perhaps I'm still observing and gathering new techniques that I can integrate into my style of blogging. In other words, I have the utmost admiration for all of my beloved RANDTSters, namely Jared and Henry *grins from ear-to-ear* ... because if not for them, I wouldn't be part of this... Perhaps not even blogging.
102 posts in a month??!! That's like, crazy. It took Random Rantings ages to reach the 100 mark. I don't know much about 1 month anniversaries, but I'm just finding an excuse to blog about something on here. *grins all over the face* Congratulations to all for a good effort and contribution to these crazily insane encouraging statistics and a pat on the back for a job well done *pats everyone on the back* (wonder how many hands I have, you thought I was going to grin again, huh? *grins* =P)
Hmmm... So since I have nothing better to write about such a glowing admiration of you guys, I present to you a little dedication:There was a lean man named Maverick,
Whose command of English was terrific;
Little kittens he throws,
And he has corny toes;
That perculiar lean man named Maverick.
A man who calls himself Comrade,
Posted 24 posts but he's not mad!!!??
We all love his posts,
Let's all give him a toast;
A salute to the man called Comrade.
This girl from JB is called Melanie,
She'd give you a run for your money;
With her 30 comments!!!
For their attractive contents;
Not reading her posts would be felony.
There once was a girl named Huiwen,
Who's favorite number is "seven"; (i tink)
She takes interesting pictures,
Of hippos and dishes;
Go check out her posts if you haven't.
A good friend of mine named Yew,
He wanted to try something new;
He spiked up a fin,
And shaved himself clean;
And those just to mention a few.
Our Anime reviewer is Brian,
He studies about "Carbocations";
Once flew out of his car,
Once appeared in "The Star";
He's our Anime reviewer- Brian.
A girl I know who's called Wen Li,
She's the ultimate fan of S.H.E.,
Her real name is Lily,
She totally loves Hebe;
Hence the nickname "Helibely".
Member "One-Four" is called Kwatra,
That sounded like he's from "Sumatra"
He's Albert's best buddy,
He's loyal and funny;
God bless this good man called Kwatra.
There was a "nomadic" girl named Esther,
Who wondered, "What if the world spun faster?";
"Would this dangerous pace,"
"Fling us all out to space?"
That imaginative girl named Esther.
My university mate called Khael,
He drove through my heart a na-il (nail);
I said "How do you do?",
But he replied, "Who are you?";
"Same uni also tak kenal ar, Khael?" =P
Here is a girl named Jasmine,
Who happens to be number "fifteen";
She's cool and rambunctious,
What more, her blog's famous;
500 hits a day, just imagine!!!
Being our foreign connection, Tim,
The time zone is different for him;
He lives in America,
He blogs about Malaysia;
Though, I wish I knew more about him.
"Master Chief" is the name,
"Dark Crusade" is his game;
He's Jared's little brother,
He's none like any other;
Being the youngest, his claim to fame.
I may have left out some of you, and I apologize for that... Plus, did I ever mention this is my first attempt at a limerick? *grins*

Today life has proven to me that the people whom i once called friends are false.
The backstabbing, conniving knaves of the world personified.
We pull others down so that we ourselves may rise up.
We better ourselves only to best others.
