January 13th:
Albert is in the hospital.
He suffered from some breathing difficulties around lunchtime yesterday. He has been suffering from some mild flu for the past couple of days. After an afternoon nap he told his dad to rush him to the nearest hospital. 10 minutes before reaching it he passed out.
He is currently in the CCU of University Hospital. 4th floor, Menara Utama.
He has regained consciousness and is aware of his surroundings and responds to stimuli. He cannot speak as he is with oral breathing tube.
I will update this post as any developments take place.
Pray for him. God knows he deserves it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 1 ; January 14th:
Visited him today. He is being sedated. Still on breath assister. Doc says theres nothing wrong with heart, lungs etc. according to a CT scan that was taken and he should be fine by the end of the week. They're just keeping him for awhile for observation.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 2 ; January 15th:
First step on the road to recovery.
Albert is now on minimal sedation. Hes started to complain furiously about the tube down his throat (which is a good sign). His mouth and lips are cracked a littl e since he hasn't been actually drinking anything and his throat is sore form the plumbing in his throat but other than that hes as well as can be expected.
He should be shifted out of the CCU to a regular ward soon, which is also good news as then at least someone can stay with him the whole time. Currently the fucking nurses there only know how to complain about Albert.
For those of you who don't know; Albert has a steel rod in his spine to keep him sitting straight. Because of this it is VERY uncomfortable for him to sleep on his back (he usually sleeps on his stomach). However, due to the various tubes going into him and the fact that this problem he is admitted for seems to be respiratory in nature they have placed him (yeap you guessed it) on his back.
Now this would actually be tolerable if he was shifted every 20mins or so but Noooooo our UH nurses are such busy little she-bitches aren't they? They're so busy comparing their notes on who the most troublesome patient is that poor ol 'bert has to literally scream to get anything done.
BTW my dad just suffered a heart attack and is admitted to IJN. He's gonna undergo an Angio-Plasty tonight.
All this and its not even been a week since my cousin was murdered.
What a great year its turning out to be...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 3 ; January 16th:
Nothing much new to update today really. Albert is now entirely off sedation. His breathing has normalized. The Docs are still keeping him in the CCU for observation purposes. He is still complaining of pain in his throat because of the tubes and back because of the position he has to sleep in.
My dad also has just underwent the two Angio-Plasties successfully. He is conscious and well. They are also still keeping him in the IJN CCU for observation although the doctors assure me that he will be allowed to go home within the next week or so at the most.
That is all.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 4 ; January 19th:
Visited Albert today.
He seems much better than before. Much more active. Much more cheerful. He is still on the ventilator although they are slowly weening him off it.
Thats where the good news ends though.
The docs are worried. If they remove the tubes Albert might have breathing complications again. If they leave the tube in there is a very very large chance of an infection. The alternative is a tracheotomy. Which literally means boring a hole in his neck so he can breathe. Not pretty and itself has a whole host of complications.
As for my dad hes back home now. Life's almost back to normal at my house again. Docs orders to rest (which my dad is studiously ignoring btw). Tough-ass dads FTW!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 5 ; January 23rd:
Albert has just undergone the tracheotomy. He is right now sedated but stable. He cannot speak. He shall never speak again. He lost the only true asset he had; force of word. I will miss the sound of it.
My dad has been re-admitted to IJN. More chest pains.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 6 ; January 26th:
Albert is out of the CCU. He is doing well with the tracheotomy. He is still in the cardiac ward thou but docs say he'll be fine. They say that if all goes well within a few weeks they can undo the tracheotomy and he'll be back to screaming profanities and telling jokes.
My dad got out of the hospital today. Kena sounding from the docs for not listening to their advice. LOL! Farnee!
Anywys, he's back home. I've hidden the car keys. And the laptop. So all is well in the Kwatra Household. :P
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 7 ; February 4th:
ALBERT HAS FOUND HIS VOCAL CORDS!
Doctors have just replaced the tube in Comrades throat to now enable speech. He called me at around 10a.m. Monday morning.
Things are finally looking up. =)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 8 (Hopefully Update Final) ; February 6th:
Albert is going to be discharged later today.
Right in time for the Chinese New Year Celebrations.
A well wished Gong Xi Fa Chai to all of you guys.
An my deepest thanks for all the love and support that you all have shown Albert.
This year is living up to its Zodiac sign no? The Rat; Notoriously hard to put down.
;)
Love, Peace and Chicken Grease ya'll!

When I read this piece of news I was stunned by the intolerant stance taken by Beijing. Apparently "security reasons" is the cause of this ban. To me this is absolutely unacceptable as it borders on the ridiculous and shows how extreme the officially God forsaken country is. Athletes are also prohibited from bearing any kind of religious symbol at Olympic facilities.
Well if Bibles are banned, are Korans banned too? Well I would think Muslim athletes will surely be denied their sacred book too. As far as I know devout Muslims will not accept such nonsense. This seems like an insult on Islam itself. To take it further are Muslim headscarves banned to? They certainly are a religious symbols and they will be banned unless Chinese are hypocrites.
Furthermore, what will happen to Jews and their skullcaps? How about the Sikhs and their turbans? Well it can go on forever but the whole message Beijing is giving that they are bigoted Mao Tse Tung butt kissers money worshipers. Good job Hu Jintao your men have insulted the whole wide world.
Of course this can only culminate in one thing - the mass boycott of the Beijing Olympics. To me this would surely make my day as I have already decided that the Chinese government has absolutely no ethics and is one hundred percent morally bankrupt. All because of oil and money China ganged up with Russia to support the rape of Darfur. Genocide takes place there because they block all international efforts to stop the Sudanese. Remember the Burmese who died in their struggle for freedom! China and the Asean especially despicable Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore gave the finger to the democracy movement.
May you burn evil China!

Life: A Very, Very, Very Short Essay About It
4 mad rant(s) » Add your own! RANDTed: Albert at 8:16:00 PMHere's a cock and bull post to confuse the daylights out of you and reignite my passion for blogging hopefully.
Life is just like classic RPGs and MMORPGs. No mana (food and drink), you die. No ability, you die. No money, you die. These are the truths of life but there are exceptions to the rules especially when money and ability is concerned.
I know for a fact needs food and drink. Anybody refuting this is either stupid or big fat liars e.g., Breatharians who think they can survive on pranna (thin air). Most people get more than enough food. A large number of people in fact are fat gluttons like me and my best friend. Then we have those living on the brink of starvation. Many of course end up dropping dead. The world sure is very unfair. Why must gluttons exist in a world where people starve to death? Go ask Robert Mugabe.
Ability? Face it, if you have no ability life would so harsh you are better of dead. P. Ramlee's son is a road sweeper because he has no talent. Your maid most probably is maid probably because she's quite stupid. Drug addicts for one have purged their abilities away. But some stars have no talent but are rich. Why? For women it's basically all about sex. Have nice body? Can dance seductively (dancing seductively can be done just by unleashing your inner animal)? Willing to sex up the big shot? A girl who do all these become a star but go to hell according to George Bush and it's only in the immoral West if you listen to our politicians. Guys only need to be handsome and of course some sexual talent. Anyway, most celebrities are just trash and don't deserve their wealth. Paris Hilton on the other hand should just drop dead.
Money is the root of all evil but without it everyone dies. No money, you have no food so you will die. That is the simple fact unless you get help. The problem is all these problems are human made which again ironically is linked to money again. The kleptocrats rapes a nations wealth e.g., some guy whose father was from Kerala in a country with a peninsula and his cronies. Then they start swimming in their cash which can turn into blood money when people die because they lack the means to earn enough money to eat. No such thing in Malaysia but we have worshipers of money helping prop up regimes that make people starve. Sudan and Burma for example which coincidently involve Petronas. Perhaps Hades should come into the picture too.
Still confused?

;;I found some college/university study tips on a certain American website. These tips are written specifically for college/university students in the US of A but can definitely be applied all around the world. 1. Go to class - I know this one is mind-numbingly obvious but it’s important. Many professors lecture directly from PowerPoint and post the slides to the internet. This makes it tempting to skip class, download the lecture notes, and learn the material on your own. Although you can probably get away with this in easy courses, you’ll face problems in challenging ones. By skipping class, you miss out on a few important things: It’s also important to consider how skipping class affects your reputation. In most classes, grades are somewhat subjective. This means that the grader’s perception of you can make or break your grade. If you frequently miss class, you’ll be perceived as someone who lacks respect for the professor and the subject matter. Why should they give you the benefit of the doubt or round that B+ up to an A-? 2. Sit in the front row - Not only will sitting in the front row build self confidence, it will automatically engage you in the lecture. You’ll appear to be an eager student and highly visible to the teacher. This will help your academic reputation and make it more likely you’ll develop a relationship with the professor. You’ll have a much easier time maintaining focus and will feel more like a participant than a passive observer. By doing a weekly review you’ll gradually memorize everything and will better understand how one concept builds on the next. Putting in small amounts of effort on a consistent basis will drastically reduce the amount of studying you need to do right before the test. 5. Go to office hours - Professors and TA’s usually make themselves available at regular times during the week for students to ask questions about assignments. Do yourself a favor by taking advantage of this opportunity. First, attending office hours will motivate you to get ahead on your work and prepare questions to ask. This will give you a huge edge in understanding problems that aren’t clearly explained in the lectures. Second, it will build your reputation as a high-effort student who deserves high grades. Who you work with also affects your academic reputation. If you associate with students that aren’t interested in learning, teachers and graders will assume you feel the same way. It’s also a great way to connect with people who have similar interests and ambitions.
7 strategies will help you raise your GPA while minimizing stress and overall study time.
3. Take notes by hand - Another unfortunate side effect of the PowerPoint revolution is that it discourages students from taking notes. Taking notes by hand will improve your grades because a) it forces you to pay attention, and b) the physical act of writing aids memorization. If you take notes, you’ll find it much easier to stay engaged. Your notes also provide a point of reference that will help you build a mental link between a written concept and the professor’s verbal explanation. This is key for efficient studying.
4. Do a weekly review - A common problem students encounter is trying to learn an enormous amount of material right before the midterm or final exam. This is practically impossible. You’ll find it much easier if you take a gradual approach to studying. At least once a week, review your notes starting from the beginning of the course. This only needs to take 15 or 20 minutes, just enough time to build familiarity with the material.
6. Find smart people to work with - In courses that involve group work, this is essential. No one wants to get stuck with a bunch slackers, have to do all the work themselves, and end up with a poor grade to show for it. The quality of the your learning experience is directly related to the attitudes of the people you work with. Working with smart people will facilitate discussion. The best way to understand an idea is talking about it with other intelligent people.
7. Avoid all-nighters - Generally, having to pull an all-nighter means that you slacked off all semester and need to fit 3 months of learning into one day. If you use a gradual study strategy this will never be necessary. All-nighters don’t work! Yes, it might be possible to get a good grade if the course is easy, but it’s much more likely that your grade will be significantly lower. All-nighters harm performance because they make you tired and stressed. You’ll also forget most of what you learn right after the test, decreasing the practical value of your education.
P.S: This is a cut and paste post. I'll get something more original up when I have some inspiration.

Could ever imagine that drinking coffee could endanger your life? It never struck me even once but today I read this story. Jasmine Willis, 17, developed a fever and began hyperventilating after drinking seven double espressos while working at her family's sandwich shop.
Here is how caffeine poisoning progresses:
- laughing and crying for no reason
- fever
- difficulty breathing which causes hyperventilation
- hot flushes
- palpitations (very, very high heart rate e.g., 180 bpm)
- shock
- coma
- death
So brothers and sisters, drink too much coffee and you die!

According to many sources the Iraq war has caused a sevenfold increase in terrorism. Yes, a sevenfold increase! To make matters worse they were no terrorist Iraq in the first place before the war. Using the false pretenses of supposed weapons of mass destruction under the preemptive strike doctrine brought about to destroy terrorist they (America and gang) invaded Iraq. The deposed and executed Saddam Hussien but left utter chaos behind. Civil wars are raging in Iraq. Terrorists now call Iraq the University of Terrorism (they attended terrorism school in Afghanistan). Baghdad is now the murder capital in the world. Even the humanitarian situation is worse than before the war. I call it total mission failure!
One war and America (Bush Administration) has lost its right to lead the world against terrorism (until they redeem themselves). To make matters even more dire the terrorist are back in Afghanistan ready to bounce back. These terrorist are now attacking the NATO forces there. They even control some parts of Afghanistan. You can blame opium or anything else but if America sent only troops to Afghanistan no such nonsense would have occurred.
To hell with Bush for he imperiled us all by emboldening terrorists! The world owes nothing to America but they owe us a blood debt that can never be paid.
P.S: This post is another reason why I hate politicians so much.

According to Australians (research findings) masturbation is good for health. Want to protect yourself from prostate cancer? Just masturbate at least five times a week and your risk of developing prostate cancer later in life is slahed by a third. I know this sounds hedonistic but, keeping cancer at bay never felt so good. And yes this message applies to guys only unless...... well you know what.
This study may become the anathema to the message of religious leaders but I don't think people will care too much. I hope the more religious people don't find this disturbing. But, imagine your doctor telling you to masturbate everyday. That would be a shocker to some but I'm sure a smirk will emerge on many faces. The more daring one's will ask for technique. Surely there are many masturbators out there.
So, how does masturbation help reduce the risk of prostate cancer? Well, it's in the ejaculation. Ejaculation causes the bad stuff (carcinogens) to be expelled. You can say it's akin to some sort purification. Speaking of technique, the doctor will have to teach the correct method to achieve climax. Do it the wrong way and you'll run for comfort. However, don't think sex will just replace your masturbation. However, too much sex or being promiscuous isn't going to replace masturbation. In fact doing that may just finish you off later because of a 40% increase in the risk of developing prostate cancer. Beware of the microscopic creepy-crawlies. Speaking of that, why hasn't that hamsap Hugh Heffner die of cancer? Instead he still gets three girlfriends.
Looking back at history these study shows how stupid we used to be. Old medical writings claim that masturbation had horrible effects. The notable 16th century Swiss physician Samuel-Auguste Tissot warned of a "perceptible reduction of strength, of memory and even of reason; blurred vision, all the nervous disorders, all types of gout and rheumatism, weakening of the organs of generation, blood in the urine, disturbance of the appetite, headaches and a great number of other disorders". In the Victorian era, Westerners had an obsession with chastity belts especially for boys. These monstrosities forced the poor boys penis to be forever flaccid otherwise spikes would prick his member. The medical literature of the times describes procedures to prevent masturbation such as electric shock treatment, restraining devices like chastity belts and straitjackets, cauterization (ouch) or - as a last resort - wholesale surgical excision of the genitals (this is way too cruel and stupid).
Others had even wackier though less barbaric ideas. Eating a bland, meatless diet was advocated. This approach was promoted by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (inventor of corn flakes) and Rev. Sylvester Graham (inventor of Graham crackers or today's cream crackers). Who in this day an age can believe that corn flakes and cream crackers was used to stop masturbation? It's too outlandish and ridiculous sounding. Too bad I don't know of Asian history. Perhaps people here are too secretive.
Guys will now go ahead and masturbate...............
P.S: Girls, lactating (breastfeeding) flushes out cancer causing chemicals from the breast. Anyway, there was a stupid fatwa (it was later withdrawn) from Egypt. It was stated that a man could be close proximity to an unmarried woman if she breast feeds him five times a day. Asinine!

The picture below shows two of the three wind chimes hanging in my house's veranda. There is something accumulating on the red butterfly wind chime. Guess what it is?
Well, it's actually an unfinished nest of some sort of weaver bird. Any birders here? Please help me identify its species. My mom mistook it for a hummingbird because of its long beak and fast flapping wings. A search on the WWW also has been fruitless so far. I feel quite stupid for not knowing what bird it is.
The bird has been diligently trying to build a nest since Sunday. A twig, a leaf or a thread at a time it slowly weaves a home. Only one piece is brought in at a time because of its small beak, then it's off again in search of new piece. Such diligence should be emulated by us! Imagine if everyone puts in that much effort in serving the entire world. Think about it.
For a bird to willingly choosing my home as a nesting is truly an honour. RANDTS will be given constant updates on the progress of this bird's sacrifice.
P.S: The photos were taken by a noob photographer using a bad camera.

A friend of mine recently told me some things interesting about the African guys studying in our local varsities. With all the hidden prejudices he said that an African guy will only be your friend (applies only to guys) if:
- He wants your money. - In my experience the few Africans I talked to seemed to have a strong affinity to money. My friends also talk about how some African guys are so interested in borrowing money.
- He wants to know your girlfriends (not in the passionate sense). - It's a fact that some African cultures are offensively misogynistic.
- You are African. - What do you expect when the idiom "birds of a feather flock together" almost always holds true (at least not for me).
- He wants your backside (another friend added in a "racist" manner)

;;»Those communist greedy pig Chinese on top will add this as part of their unforgivable evils when they join Mao, Hitler and Stalin in the deepest reaches of hell.
Down with the Chinese who obliterate Mother Nature's creatures in the name of medicine, gluttony and avarice. The consumption of shark's fin soup will soon wipe all fish. Wild tigers will also go extinct because of my race and the money grubbing poachers they support. SARS wrought death and suffering on us all because some wretched fools in China must eat civet cats. Pollution is slowly annihilating life in all rivers of China. Woe to all who rape the Earth like lust filled maniacs.
Shark's fin soup is a must for Chinese. A course dinner is not complete without shark's fin soup. What narrow minded reckless humans we are! Sharks which are endangered are just harvested like that without any foresight. Why pity sharks when they are dangerous human killers? Well anyone who says they are dangerous human killers are extremely shallow indeed. With less than ten people killed a year they are hardly dangerous. Believe in Jaws-like movies is truly moronic. Sharks don't deserved to be wiped out. If they are to be wiped out why don't we kill all politicians using tribal headhunting methods thousands as they are responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths a year. First let us sink all ships and boats (and perhaps spear fishers) that catch sharks!
With about a billion potential shark fin consumers they will go extinct. As cornerstone species their demise will wrought the demise of all fish (trust me I have details which I won't write hear). Want to be responsible for the demise of the oceans themselves? I'm quite ashamed that my race may bring so much destruction. Many won't care which includes my father but at least I don't consume shark's fin soup. I'm no hypocrite unlike some people!
Tigers are another sad situation. China wants to legalise the trade of tiger parts. Those communist greedy pig Chinese on top will add this as part of their unforgivable evils when they join Mao, Hitler and Stalin in the deepest reaches of hell. To all nut jobs who consume tigers parts (mostly Chinese) you people are also guilty as hell unless you are sorry for what you have done. Those who willingly contribute to the extinction of any creature is just evil, evil and evil. I remember some boy who has my disease who was given tiger bone soup by his mother. This is shameful. Poachers also must be gunned down to just like how they hunt tigers.
Tigers will soon be gone anyway some people may point out. At least I'm not responsible unlike many shameless Chinese compatriots. Our grandchildren may not see tigers in real life ever again no thanks to some of the useless Chinese.
SARS was another problem because of the stupid Chinese "maxim" that everything with four legs except the table and chairs must be eaten. Civet cats spread SARS to humans because the poor civets were sold in markets to eaten. People were just way too smart I guess. Chinese once again are the fools involved as some itchy Chinese morons wanted to eat something other than a domesticated animal. Anyway, did you know that Chinese civets are endangered. SARS was the revenge of the civets! Wait till the sharks and tiger take bittersweet revenge!
Chinese of course cause more problems than that. With so many Chinese I'm afraid they may become the the master rapists of the Earth who destroy more than America. If that happens I'll disown myself.

It seems that Poland thinks that Teletubbies are gay. A senior Polish official has ordered psychologists to investigate whether the popular BBC TV show Teletubbies promotes a homosexual lifestyle. Those Poles are ridiculously obsessed and paranoid in fearing about the "promotion of a homosexual lifestyle".
How stupid can people be? All these humorous homophobia started when Poland's education ministry announced plans to sack teachers who promote homosexuality. How do you promote homosexuality? In a radio show some people even found Winnie the Pooh suspiciously gay as he had only male friends. For many young boys all their friends are boys. Are they gay too? What some "learned" people do simply baffles me.
Let's come back to Teletubbies. Tinky Winky the purple Teletubby is the character singled out as being gay. One of the ludicrous reason is that he carries a handbag. The late American bigot Jerry Falwell even once said Tinky Winky is gay for being purple, a gay pride colour. His (Tinky's) triangular aerial was also said to be a gay pride symbol. How can people be so idiotic? Tinky Winky is just a child's character, how could he be gay? Some people have forgot that being effeminate isn't being gay. King Herod was effeminate but committed adultery by marrying his brother's wife. Furthermore, there certainly is nobody had alleged the Herod was gay.
P.S: Some people say Barney the purple dinosaur is gay for being purple. Anyway, I'm so gay hearing about gays.

Of Leaks, Ceilings, Sewage and Chauvinism
2 mad rant(s) » Add your own! RANDTed: Albert at 7:40:00 PMbasement storeroom is now full of
s***sewage
In the UK, Parliament is basically the House of Commons. Here in Malaysia it's now infamously known as the House of Leaks. Our nation is also the home of a really disgraceful court complex. To make matters worst there is the chauvinist mosquito and the sexist one-eyed jack making a crude and vulgar joke about a opposition woman MP which insults all women and shows that they don't respect their own mothers. What has happened to my country!?
Several years ago the government spent RM 90 million to renovate the Parliament. Down the road the symbol of Malaysia is leaking in multiple places as written in this article. It's obvious somebody did something fishy, it smells of corruption. To make matters worse we then have two chauvinist monkeys denying the leaks while making a broadside vulgar insult at women just to attack the opposition. It becomes even more disgraceful with the deafening silence of Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs, the asinine apologetic ministers and politicians. At the end of the fiasco all we get is a "fake" apology. At least now the government as admitting that there are leaks. Why does a leaking Parliament have to symbolise the moral bankruptcy of some of the people's representative!?
The new court complex in Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur is another shame of Malaysia. First we had a crumbling roof which begs for awe and anger. Why did the contractors make an unsafe building? After that, the cafeteria ceiling had to "rain" because of a piping problem in the complex's cafeteria with press present. The incident reached a sickening low when a guard trying cover up the incident by trying to rough up reporters and shouting obscene words. That insult to guards even challenged the photographers to a fight. It's a shame that the judiciary is being undermined by obvious a shoddy building. Is corruption present here too? You guys can answer that question.
For the finale, the court complex's basement storeroom is now full of
Fusion16 wrote: "Our Prime Minister, while delivering his speech from his ultra-modern office located at Putrajaya, cowers in fear, wondering whether the poorly maintained roof will fall down on him". Soon the catchphrase won't be "first class facilities, third class mentality" but it will be "first class facilities as a facade, third class facilities in reality, third class mentality" if all these shambolic incidents keep repeating.

Islamic (syariah) courts cannot and should have jurisdiction over non-Muslims. This is against the democratic principle of the rule of law i.e, laws cannot cause injustice and unfairness. Religious values e.g, Islamic values cannot be applied to non-Muslims as this is contrary to justice and fairness. In Malaysia the Federal Constitution guarantees that only Muslims are under the Syariah Courts.
Recently we had many cases that highlighted the ongoing "tug-o-war" between the the civil courts and Syariah court. These include the cases of Shamala, Lina Joy, Nyonya Tahir, M. Moorthy, Rayappan Anthony, Subashini, P. Marimuthu, and perhaps the latest, Magendran Sababathy. One can argue that these cases are causing ethno-religious harmony to be slowly eroded. Dr Wan Azhar Wan Hamad of the Centre for Syariah, Law and Political Science, Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) today has come into the fray with a suggestion that syariah courts have some jurisdiction over non-Muslims in order calm the "tug-o-war" in this article.
Forget about Wan's justification of doing this for if what he suggests comes to pass we are all finished. It will a start of a slippery slope of religious intolerance descending into outright religious persecution. First Syariah courts will start giving biased decisions which are unfair to non-Muslims. Then they will police your morals e.g., moral police will roam the streets checking for "immodest" attire like in UiTM's INTEC; touching your lover will get you slapped with a fine; spending time alone with the member of the opposite sex will land you in jail. Finally everyone may be forced to convert to Islam. Making Islamic values and rules apply to non-Muslim is outright bigotry. Religious values are of a personal nature, if I'm not a Muslim I won't have Islamic values, as simple as that. The state has no right to interfere at all unless we live in a dark place ruled by a Saudi like government.
Azhar is definitely irrational at best and a religious bigot at worst because what he suggests is outright injustice, a certain kind of religious jingoism. We all must denounce his suggestion as it will imperil our very human rights. We must have freedom of religion and expression, the state must not interfere. We live in secular democracy not a dark dictatorial theocracy e.g., Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Another bone of contention is that only Muslims are allowed to discuss the "tug-o-war" without fear as implied by the article and recent events. Remember that the Article 11 group discussion was canceled due to the threat of violence and police apathy (and perhaps some Islamic bigot(s) in the upper echelons of power). Just this week the international Muslim-Christian dialogue – the Building Bridges seminar – organized by the London office of the Archbishop of Canterbury has been canceled according British sources and postponed according to local sources. A question keeps ringing in my head, why can't we have a say about something that affects us?
Let's us hope that one day we embrace all the values of democracy, tolerance, competitiveness and equality otherwise we may go to the dogs like Zimbabwe and Nigeria.

;;Decapitation has been burned into our minds as cruel and unusual punishment. It's gruesome nature will always be used as a tool to terrorise people. But here is a miracle linked with decapitation (internal) which is testament of the will to survive.
Shannon Malloy was involved in a car crash in Nebraska on Jan. 25 which threw her up against the vehicle's dashboard. In the process, her skull became separated from her spine. The clinical term for her condition is called internal decapitation.
Quotes from Malloy:
"I remember the impact and then I had no control over my head,"
"I wasn't focused so much on the pain. I just kept thinking, 'I have to stay alive.'"
"My skull slipped off my neck about five times. Every time they tried to screw this (the metal halo which still supports her skull) to my head, I would slip,"
"It only took about 8 minutes to take the whole thing off,"
"Oh my God, it's a miracle,"
Read about this miracle here. Anyway, her doctor stated that her will to survive was what saved her.
Miracles do happen you see. There are so many wonders that is made possible by God. Stop worrying too much for an instant, just take a deep breath and cherish your existence in this sometimes sad yet wonderful world. One day you may be granted a miracle to continue in the world. Show your gratitude to the world and God soon....
