Many thanks Joe for the dedication. Well written, but if you wanted to attempt poetry in pentameter form, you could try harder. Hehe... nevertheless, a very nice one.

Personally, I was also surprised to see that we actually achieved the 100-post-per-month mark. Kudos to those who have made this blog such a success in achieving what we thought was the impossible. Still, I quite resent the fact that though we have very dedicated bloggers (especially like Comrade Cripple), we still lack readers and hits.

So, in reply to Joe's The One with The Endless Grins, here's one from me specially to him (and Hann):

This brother Joe I knew last year,
Whom at first I was not near,
Little did I know what was to come,
My being "irritating" was the harm.

Freshies Talent Nite (from left: Joe, I, Hann and Minh Anh (a Vietnamese student))

Freshies Talent Nite marked the night,
I felt happy, important and bright,
Joe and Hann were also well-dressed,
It was our night; we must be at our best.

Joe and Hann were the emcees,
And I, of course, the sole pianist,
Joe wondered if I had the abilities,
The answer came, "He could have his qualities."

After that we soon discovered,
A band competition that we participated,
Joe on the bass and Hann on the drum,
And I on the piano, in the glum.

Joe, Hann and I a queer combination,
I tried my best to suit the situation,
Both of them have the chemistry!
A classical me, so lowly.

Besides the bass that Joe was gifted,
With the guitar and drums he, too, is talented,
His voice, my gosh, puts me to shame,
Sometimes I wish I was the same.

Things got better as time went by,
If there were no conflicts I'm telling a lie,
Still, I treasure those moments I spent,
With them, there were lots to rant.

Euphonious 2006 (from left: Joe, Hann, Minh Anh (main vocalist), I and Brian)

Euphonious came and we put on a show,
At those moments we were not cold,
Sad to say we were not victorious,
Still we returned with lots of experience.

Joe and I got to know each other well,
And I found him to be such a swell,
His figure fit and his brain quick,
A cheerful grin you can always pick.

I was a little down and I decided to go,
To Johor Bahru that was where I would show,
Too visit Joe, Hann and the rest,
Though JB was not on its best.

He welcomed my presence and I was graced,
A wide grin again on his face,
He challenged me to try something new,
To spike a fin I had to do.

A brother in Christ is Joe,
When I'm sad he would console,
I might have stepped often on his tail,
But thankfully, I'm still here to tell the tale.

He's naturally gifted in kinaesthetics,
An endless energy, he is terrific!
We used to jog and I might go no further,
But he... he must go a while more longer.

Though at sports he's one of the best,
Car rides surprisingly put him to rest,
This man here he makes me impressed,
There's more to say, don't be depressed.

A "banana" he certainly is not!
His qualifications in Mandarin make me feel short,
He cannot comprehend why is that so,
My Mandarin isn't as good as yours, you know, Joe.

Jared, Joe, Brian and I,
We would keep each other an eye,
When one is in problem we are concerned,
Just to let him know we will listen.

There's more to say about this brother,
But if I keep you, you'll go "Oh, bother!"
Our brotherhood, I pray, will remain strong,
Forget me not, I here end my song.

A RANDT here which I've mentioned in the RANDTS group: Wouldn't it be nice if we could ever meet up in a place together? What do you say to a RANDSTers gathering?

P/S: Don't be disappointed if I've not written a poem about you. Give me time to know you more, through your blog or by chatting, and one day, I'll feature you, too! (Chuckles).

*Sigh* ... And I never thought I'd be here long enough to write this post. *grins*

Hi everyone! *waves* Perhaps I haven't been really active lately on the blog. Internet connection sucks, but then that's still not a valid reason. I feel ashamed in comparison to Comrade Cripple there. Wish I had half of his dedication and his ideas.

It's been a month already, so many things have happened. I have gone through quite a lot on this blog in such a short timespan. For the sake of being determined to see through the success of our new project... R.A.N.D.T.S., I ought to fulfill my duties here. *grins again*

Let's just say that I'm not a really experienced blogger. So I'm still learning from all of you. Perhaps I'm still observing and gathering new techniques that I can integrate into my style of blogging. In other words, I have the utmost admiration for all of my beloved RANDTSters, namely Jared and Henry *grins from ear-to-ear* ... because if not for them, I wouldn't be part of this... Perhaps not even blogging.

102 posts in a month??!! That's like, crazy. It took Random Rantings ages to reach the 100 mark. I don't know much about 1 month anniversaries, but I'm just finding an excuse to blog about something on here. *grins all over the face* Congratulations to all for a good effort and contribution to these crazily insane encouraging statistics and a pat on the back for a job well done *pats everyone on the back* (wonder how many hands I have, you thought I was going to grin again, huh? *grins* =P)

Hmmm... So since I have nothing better to write about such a glowing admiration of you guys, I present to you a little dedication:

There was a lean man named Maverick,
Whose command of English was terrific;
Little kittens he throws,
And he has corny toes;
That perculiar lean man named Maverick.

A man who calls himself Comrade,
Posted 24 posts but he's not mad!!!??
We all love his posts,
Let's all give him a toast;
A salute to the man called Comrade.

This girl from JB is called Melanie,
She'd give you a run for your money;
With her 30 comments!!!
For their attractive contents;
Not reading her posts would be felony.

There once was a girl named Huiwen,
Who's favorite number is "seven"; (i tink)
She takes interesting pictures,
Of hippos and dishes;
Go check out her posts if you haven't.

A good friend of mine named Yew,
He wanted to try something new;
He spiked up a fin,
And shaved himself clean;
And those just to mention a few.

Our Anime reviewer is Brian,
He studies about "Carbocations";
Once flew out of his car,
Once appeared in "The Star";
He's our Anime reviewer- Brian.

A girl I know who's called Wen Li,
She's the ultimate fan of S.H.E.,
Her real name is Lily,
She totally loves Hebe;
Hence the nickname "Helibely".

Member "One-Four" is called Kwatra,
That sounded like he's from "Sumatra"
He's Albert's best buddy,
He's loyal and funny;
God bless this good man called Kwatra.

There was a "nomadic" girl named Esther,
Who wondered, "What if the world spun faster?";
"Would this dangerous pace,"
"Fling us all out to space?"
That imaginative girl named Esther.

My university mate called Khael,
He drove through my heart a na-il (nail);
I said "How do you do?",
But he replied, "Who are you?";
"Same uni also tak kenal ar, Khael?" =P

Here is a girl named Jasmine,
Who happens to be number "fifteen";
She's cool and rambunctious,
What more, her blog's famous;
500 hits a day, just imagine!!!

Being our foreign connection, Tim,
The time zone is different for him;
He lives in America,
He blogs about Malaysia;
Though, I wish I knew more about him.

"Master Chief" is the name,
"Dark Crusade" is his game;
He's Jared's little brother,
He's none like any other;
Being the youngest, his claim to fame.

I may have left out some of you, and I apologize for that... Plus, did I ever mention this is my first attempt at a limerick? *grins*

*YAY* This is officially the 101st post on RANDTS.

We should celebrate no? Here's an idea; Everyone on RANDTS should post a comment on how RANDTS-ing has changed your outlook on blogging. Or better yet how you feel RANDTS has changed your life.

Here's mine; I feel that through this blog i have come to know other intelligent beings exist and that not all humanity has resigned itself to political correctness and corporate lifestyles.

So there.
YOUR TURN.
XD.

In conjunction with the o ne month anniversary I the Comrade General Cripple will bare down my opinions as laid down by the Master Chief.

My Viewpoint on Life

Life is a struggle we have to just face it. There are also high points in this struggle so we must savour them. Always think positive and you will go far. Aiming high and working for it is something we must strive for. Never give up until the very end. I will go on until the end.

The World Today

I see so much evil in the world and just little glimmers of hope. The bottom line is money the root of all evil. Influence brings money so people fight for influence. The US supports monsters like King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud because of oil and failed states Pakistan. China supports monstrous regimes in Sudan, Myanmar, Zimbabwe etc. Japan supports commercial whaling in the name of hypocritic research. NGOs and activist fight back by lobbying and shoring up support but the fight is an almost losing battle. The world is such a cruel place but at least there is still hope.

War

War is evil unless for self defence. All warmongers like George Bush, Nasrallah, Osama bin Laden, Blair etc. belong in one place. Hell! The fact is Mahathir (soot stained kettle) is correct to call for war to be banned.

Health Crises

Bush should spend money saving lives not ending them in Iraq. Failing to do something good when given the power to do so condemns a person. If we stop spending on war all all health crises will end. Failure to stop health crises shows the utter contempt for life by many people especially Bush Jr.

Technology

Technology will bring us onward and upward to utopia. We would also see humans progress faster if we stop finding an ever more effective ways to harvest lives. Soon I may be cured by technology.

Anime

I like the "lame" anime Ranma ½. I'm also currently downloading Record of Lodoss War after reading the Wikipedia entry on fantasy elves. There are also certain shows on Animax that I watch such as Black Jack. Anyway, Animax's dubbing really sucks to the maximum and Astro pulled a SNAFU on the subbing. Do my Anime choices seem lame?

RANDTSters

RANDTSers are the most hip and happening bloggers I ever met. Anyway,,what happened to Tot?

Problem with people

Humans can be infinitely good or evil or somewhere in between. Everybody makes mistakes but sometimes adults act like little kids over small problems. We have to learn to forgive.

Bye
