Public Toilets

...grosses me.

Finally, I'm back from Penang. My journey took approximately 6 hours long. I don't understand why there was a jam on the highway and the vehicle was moving at 20kph. There wasn't any car accidents but why was it jam then? I saw quite a few police cars along the highway. They were standing and looking around. Could it be them who are causing the cars to slow down, thus, causing a jam?

After 5 hours, even for a normal human being, I had to answer the call of nature. I took a break at the Rawang resting area. When I stepped out of the car, I felt as if I was in an ocean of people. I headed towards the restroom, and that was when an idea struck me. There should be more resting areas along the highway and there should be more cubicles in the ladies. I'd say that there are a lot of room for improvements.

The first thing would probably be the unusable flush. It's spoiled and it's dirty. Either people stepped on the 'handle' to flush it or it simple becomes dirty just by using our hands. The second thing would be the sanitary bin. Sure the men's toilet do not face this problem but in a ladies toilet, it smells and it overflows which is a disgusting sight, let alone baby diapers.

Because the flush can't be used, the toilet roll thrown by people are not flushed which in the end, accumulates and float. Did I mention that among all my experiences using public toilets, they brownish and reddish water make me want to puke? One more thing, there is no soap in the so-called container (the one where we need to push for the soap) for washing hands.

However, I am still thankful that the toilet latch is functional or should I say that it's still there? I am also thankful for the running tap water for washing hands. I am happy (-.-!) for there were no cockroaches running around and the floor was clean.

I must be out of my mind...

    Ewww!

Although i find it strange ... i visit Rawang quite often and always found the public toilets to be quite sanitary.

Maybe its because of the festive season and all so more ppl might be frequenting the toilets ...

    Thats no excuse though.

Oh well ... First class facility, Third class mentality.
