    Wow, I really can't believe the one where the monk burn himself. I really can't imagine how he felt. He really was "dying " to protest...

    Comrade, these are very moving pictures indeed. The first one caught my eye immediately. I remember this scene very vividly from the movie "Forrest Gump". He was there, wasn't he? Or at least, he was, in the movie.

    I also noticed most of them are from the Vietnam War. Any particular reason for this, other than being one of the primary conflicts that happened in the 20th century? Just curious. =)

    [gungrave1988]: Those photos I put up are each World Press Photo of the Year for their respective year.

    [maverick]: The 1960s was when photojournalism was a norm. Being an American war, The Vietnam War would naturally attract the most journalist. With so many pictures being taken it doesn't surprise me that several World Press Photo of the Year photos are of Vietnam during the war.
